"Insurance CE Update for 2020"

Published December 2019

This blog highlights important insurance CE changes at Bryan Ventures for 2020.

Renee E. Bryan also publishes writing at her blog: WrongWayLizzie.Me.

The Holidays are almost here! My gosh, where has the time gone? I looked through the list of blog postings and there is a lack of content for 2019. For those that might be unaware, I had a surprise move starting in February which didn't have me settled until just recently. It's a long story that I hope you get to hear at one of our upcoming CLASSROOM INSURANCE CE LOCATIONS.

I did manage to get several new classes approved this year. At least 20 new online insurance CE course hours with a PROPERTY & CASUALTY twist. I actually had fun writing these and I am working on several new ethics titles too.

We also gained approval for six new LIVE CLASSROOM INSURANCE CE COURSES. Each of them designed with the upcoming Presidential election in mind. Not to change whom you might vote for in 2020. In fact, we won't discuss any of the candidates directly or indirectly. That is not the point. The intention is to offer valuable information about healthcare, social security, and our economy from both a national and global perspective so you can be armed with accurate information to educate your clients and make good decisions. I plan to highlight these topics in upcoming blogs.

The 2020 & 2021 LIVE CLASSROOM INSURANCE SCHEDULE also includes two ethics classes. One is brand new, ETHICS: WHAT IS RIGHT?, and the other is a course we instructed in 2013, WORKING WITH ETHICS, that we dusted off to bring back to class because agents had enjoyed it so much. You can attend either or both of them in the same renewal. This also that you can attend any of the four days of insurance CE that we offer--DAY A, B, C, or D--and you will get 8 hours of credit that are not considered duplicate.

I'd love to tell you that our DESTINATION CE classes were a success for the second year in a row, but sadly that was not the case. Granted, I booked two weeks instead of one which means we had twice as many seats and rooms to fill. Even with all of that flexibility and various options, we didn't even recruit as many agents as the prior year.

I'm not sure what we'll do with 2021. I had to pay a penalty on our contract, Sun Country is holding, as a travel credit, a couple thousand dollars of our deposit, we may try again to see what happens. Most definitely, if we proceed, agents will need to pay a non-refundable deposit should they want to commit to join us. Based on verbal commitments from many agents, we should have had no problem fulfilling our contract in 2020. I simply cannot afford to do that again. In the end, I hope you join us. Insurance CE in the tropics really is the BEST way to go and I'm looking forward to heading to the Mexican beaches in February.
To the right is our LIVE INSURANCE CE CLASSROOM LOCATIONS for both 2020 and 2021. When registering, be sure the year is when you intend to attend class because both 2020 & 2021 are available at our website. As you'll note, there are a few key cities at which we will be there twice in one year.

You'll also notice we will be at locations right near Minnesota residents as well as sought after resort locations. Agents from any state, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin, can attend any of these locations and receive resident state insurance CE credit.

I highly encourage you to go to our website and review the 2020-2021 dates now and to proceed to set it in your calendar by registering. I just took a call from a gentleman in southeast Minnesota looking for classes in that area before March. If you look at the upcoming calendar, we won't be there during that time frame, BUT I was just in Rochester a few weeks ago.

This happens all the time. Agents looking for a class and we were just in their area. We both missed out on an opportunity so, if you like live classroom insurance CE, it pays to plan ahead. We are coming to your area with good classes during your renewal and we'd love to see you, but it doesn't work great IF you don't schedule your insurance CE in advance.

One final item, we are offering a MERRY CHRISTMAS discount on our live classroom insurance CE classes. You can get all the details to get your savings HERE. I also hope you all have a fabulous Thanksgiving weekend. I'm grateful for you. May you have a very blessed Holiday Season!
