	"Mixing It Up" Published October 2017

		In keeping with the upcoming Halloween season and just like the fun-loving women of Hocus Pocus featured to the left, the staff here at Bryan Ventures are "Mixing It Up". Granted, we've got no caldron and we don't have a crystal ball, but the future of insurance continuing education sure looks bright from our view. We are working really hard to put together a package for your insurance continuing education (CE) for 2018 and 2019 that you can get excited about. We've just applied for insurance continuation education approval for five new live classroom courses. This line up is pretty exciting. We dusted off some classic topics like retirement planning, taxes and trusts, and economic trends; and given them a new twist. We'll provide more information on these fabulous topics and enrollment options in upcoming emails and blogs.

What we are most excited about, and nervous too, is an expansion into Iowa. We've found that our neighbor to the south is very favorable to live classroom continuing education. They mandate, much like Minnesota used to, that their agents take one-half their insurance CE in a live classroom setting. As a result, we plan to offer live classroom insurance CE courses at six Iowa locations close to the Minnesota and Wisconsin border. If you are a resident of Minnesota or Wisconsin, what does this mean to you? First, you could get your live insurance CE across the border. If you live in Southern Minnesota or Southwestern Wisconsin, you could attend one of the Iowa locations and still get your insurance continuing education. This expansion means more insurance CE options for you. Second, we are moving our schedule around. We are truly "Mixing It Up"! If you are used to attending our classes at a specific location, you will want to check out our upcoming schedule (to be posted in November) to see where your favorite live insurance CE venue lands. It maybe earlier in the year; it maybe later. As of today's date, we aren't even sure how this new schedule will work, but wanted to give you a status update so you were prepared for your upcoming insurance CE needs.



Third, and last, and least exciting, this expansion also means we are trimming back our standard live classroom insurance CE offerings in Minnesota. At this point, we are keeping all live classroom locations we offered in 2017; however, instead of having classes in select cities (Rochester, Mankato, Duluth, and St. Cloud) twice in the year, both spring and fall, we will only offer classes at these four cities once per year. If you think this might cause a problem for you in scheduling this first transitional year, we encourage you to attend these locations in the coming weeks as we wrap up these final sessions of 2017. In the end, we know these changes will be better for live insurance CE options for the agents in Minnesota and Wisconsin as well as Iowa. Look for more updates in the coming weeks.
